Day 1: Arrival and Amber Fort Exploration

  • Arrive at Jaipur Airport or Bus Stand, where your pre-booked self-drive car will be ready to ensure a smooth start to your journey.
  • After checking in to your accommodation, take some time to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch at your convenience.
  • Around 2:30 – 3:00 pm, head towards the iconic Amer Fort. As you explore this magnificent site, don’t miss key attractions such as Suraj Pol, Jaleb Chowk, Ganesh Pol, Diwan-e-Aam, Jai Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, and Zeena Mahal. To fully immerse yourself in the fort’s rich history and stunning architecture, plan for a visit of about 2 to 5 hours.
  • Before you leave, unwind at one of the newly added coffee shops within the fort. Enjoy a refreshing beverage while taking in the unique ambiance of this historical site.

Jaipur Food: Jaipur is a paradise for food lovers, renowned for its vibrant and spicy cuisine, which is perfect for those who enjoy bold flavors. Popular dishes include dal baati churma, gatte ki sabzi, and laal maas. If spicy food isn’t to your liking, worry not—many global food chains and top food brands are easily accessible across the city, catering to all tastes.

Jaipur Hotel: For an unforgettable stay, consider booking a room in one of Jaipur’s iconic heritage forts or havelis. These unique accommodations offer an exclusive ambiance, allowing you to immerse yourself in the regal charm and historic elegance of the city. Many of these places provide luxurious amenities while maintaining their authentic cultural flair.

Jaipur Sightseeing: Choose the mode of sightseeing that best suits your preferences:

  • SIC taxi for shared group tours,
  • Private cab for a more personalized experience, or
  • Self-drive rental car for maximum flexibility.
If opting for a self-drive car, be prepared for Jaipur’s bustling streets—be extra cautious of two-wheelers and older taxis that may appear unexpectedly. Safe driving will allow you to explore the city at your own pace, enjoying all that it has to offer!

Day 2 – Jaipur Exploration

  • Morning: After a hearty breakfast, begin your exploration of the vibrant Pink City, Jaipur. Wander through its colorful streets, experiencing the rich culture, bustling bazaars, and charming architecture that makes Jaipur so unique.
  • Afternoon: Head to Jaigarh Fort, located on the Aravalli hills. Explore the fort’s impressive collection of 18th-century weapons and artillery, and don’t miss seeing the Jaivana, the world’s largest cannon. Take in the stunning views from Diya Burj that offer a dramatic panorama of the surroundings.

Next, visit Nahargarh Fort. Famous for its Indo-European architecture, the fort houses numerous rooms that were once reserved for the queens, including the beautiful Sheesh Mahal. From the fort’s terrace, enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Jaipur. The sight of the city stretching out beneath you is unforgettable.

  • Evening: After 5:30 pm, as Nahargarh Fort’s entrance closes, head to the RTDC-operated restaurant, known for its scenic views. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal with a spectacular backdrop of the city. To secure the best seating and views, make sure to reserve a spot in advance.

Enjoy a romantic dinner as the sun sets, then head back to your hotel. Be cautious of the journey, especially if you’re driving along the Amer Road, as this stretch can be deserted at night. It’s a good idea to return by a reasonable hour for safety.

Day 3 – Iconic Jaipur Sights and Evening Stroll

  • Morning: After breakfast, start your day with a visit to the City Palace, a grand complex that reflects Jaipur’s royal heritage. Don’t miss the Hawa Mahal, known as the Palace of Winds, with its unique facade. Nearby, the Jantar Mantar awaits—an 18th-century observatory with fascinating architectural instruments that showcase Jaipur’s scientific heritage. This tour will take about 2 to 4 hours, so feel free to take your time absorbing the details of each iconic site.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy lunch with a view at a café opposite Hawa Mahal. Although the food may be modest, the ambiance and scenic views make it a memorable spot. Alternatively, you can have lunch at a more popular eatery and return to the café for a relaxing drink with a beautiful backdrop of the Hawa Mahal.
  • Late Afternoon: Visit Birla Mandir, a tranquil temple known for its pristine white marble and intricate carvings, offering a peaceful escape from the city’s bustle.
  • Evening: As the day winds down, head to Jal Mahal and take in the enchanting sight of the palace reflecting on the lake’s still waters. The view at sunset or under the evening lights is captivating.
  • Night: End the day with a leisurely walk along Johri Bazar Road. Here, you’ll find street vendors and local food stalls offering Jaipur’s famous street foods. This vibrant market is the perfect place to savor authentic flavors and soak in Jaipur’s lively atmosphere.
